Cabinet Refinishing Questions
Cabinet refinishing keeps your existing cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and boxes while changing their colour and finish.
Your doors and drawer fronts are removed and professionally refinished in our Aldergrove shop. The cabinet frames, gables, and crown are finished on-site to match.
Our process is different from using consumer-grade cabinet paint.
Doors and drawer fronts are sprayed with an industrial two-component coating and bake-cured in our shop using a factory-grade finishing process.
Cabinet refinishing is backed by a written 3-year warranty.
There are about four days of work in your home, with a 7–10 day gap while your doors and drawer fronts are being refinished in our shop.
Most projects wrap within a few weeks of the deposit.
You can continue using your kitchen while the doors are being finished in the shop.

Cabinet Refacing Questions
Cabinet refacing keeps your existing cabinet boxes but replaces your existing doors and drawer fronts with brand-new ones.
Your cabinet frames are then finished to coordinate with the new doors.
The simplest way to think about it is:
Refinishing = your existing doors, new colour
Refacing = new doors on your existing cabinet boxes
If your existing doors are still in good condition and you just want a new colour, refinishing may be enough.
If your doors are damaged, swelling, or you want a completely different style, refacing is usually the better fit.
Yes.
Kitchen Makeovers offers both factory vinyl-wrapped frames and colour-matched painted frames for refacing projects.
The timeline depends on the scope of the project.
On-site work can range from about one day for simpler projects to a few days for a full wrapped kitchen.
A final measurement visit is completed after booking so your new doors can be made before installation.
New cabinet doors are backed by a written 5-year warranty.

DIY Kitchen Update Kit Questions
The basic idea is:

Kitchen Makeovers professionally refinishes your existing doors and drawer fronts in the shop, while you paint the cabinet frames at home.
With the Novice Kit, Kitchen Makeovers removes your doors and drawers, provides the kit, professionally refinishes the doors and drawers, then returns to reinstall them.
You handle painting the cabinet frames.
With the Expert Kit, you remove and deliver the doors and drawers yourself, paint the frames, then pick up and reinstall the refinished components.
The kit includes:

Plumbing and water-line work must be completed by a licensed plumber because Kitchen Makeovers is not insured to perform plumbing work.
We can coordinate our work around the plumber so the overall project stays on track.
